Welcome to ESPN.com's moderated chat room. On Monday,

Moderator: (3:20 PM ET ) Thanks for
your patience everyone ... Jeremy will here around 4 p.m. ET. Tune in to
ESPN Radio to hear him on the Dan Patrick Show right now!
Ed: Where is JR?
Moderator: (4:16 PM ET ) Hey everybody, we're trying to
track down JR. Hang tight for a few more. I'll keep you posted.
Chuck: Look at the rink . . .i hear they are still practicing
the PP!
vis: he's in Hitch's doghouse (LOL)...sorry JR.
AgentOrange (Harrisburg, PA): I hope JR isn't this late for
the home opener against Buffalo.
Moderator: (4:23 PM ET ) You guys are full of colorful
comments today aren't you? Jeff here has a good idea. Kick this around
till we find Jeremy ...
Jeff: So whos everyone picking to win the cup eh?....well
something to talk about till he gets here
vis: if not the Flyers, then Ottawa v. Avalanche. I think this
may be Ottawa's year.
Joe, New York: Colorado, as long as Dave Aebischer can step it
up.
Chris: I agree, I think Ottawa can finally gonna get it done.
Ben: Colorado has to be the odds-on-favorite. I foresee a
trade between Colorado and Washington. Wash needs some D bad and
Colorado could use a stud goaltender like Olie.
BroadStreetBull,SC: The Avalanche have one weakness, Goalie .
. .which will be taken care of by the playoffs, they have to be the
favorite.
Anyone but Bettman: I think Ottawa. They look almost
unbeatable in the New no touch Bettman league.
Joe (Swartz Creek, MI): Ottawa or Detroit, I say. The Wings
will get a good forward for Joseph, and the Avs will have to give up
something decent to get a REAL goalie
Joe (Bala Cynwyd, PA): See what happens when you give a
Rangers fan access to PC? (Flyers/ Kings for the cup)
Mark (Philly, PA): Ottawa will find a way to lose.........and
is everyone forgetting NJ?
Chris (Wilmington, DE): Everyone always forgets NJ...
Chris (Philly): Everyone is trying to forget NJ
TFF: I would love to forget NJ,
Jenny (HOCKEYTOWN MI): New Jersey will be tough to be when it
comes to the EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
Bird: Look what NJ lost in the offseason
vis: NJ - is Larionov an upgrade over Nieuwendyk? I don't
think so...
Frank(FlyersPhan): It does not matter who the Devils lose.
They still have the best Goalie in the world and still are going to
bring the defense.
Jeff: that's true, brodeur is not human
Moderator: (4:32 PM ET ) Wow fellas, I didn't think it was
possible to talk about New Jersey for this long. This is most certainly
a record!
Chris (Philly): we blame JR , we try NOT to talk about NJ at
all. If he were HERE we wouldnt have to =)
Mctommm (Arlington, Va.): You want to hear someone go off on
the Devils? Visit flyersphans.com - We have it down to an artform. How
'bout that beating Stevens took from Brashear last week? :>)
Mike: I'm a huge Devs fan, but I think Ottawa as all the
pieces in place for a super year.
Ujin (North Tijuana): Calgary Flames.... BWA-HA-HA. Just
kidding. I kill me. It'll be Ottawa vs Colorado.
Kate, Denver: You know that Kronke will spend some of that wal-mart
money to pick up a goalie if he needs to. I think that Colorado will be
there with Ottawa...that would be a good series
JOE (TAMPA): OH, I SEE, NO LOVE FOR THE LIGHTNING
Jim: If Ottawa has to play the Leafs in the playoffs then you
can forget about their chances!
Mark (Philly, PA): Nice to see no one pick the Red Wings
Cam Cunneyworth (NY): Ottawa? Are you kidding me? Reminds me
of the 90's when they were in the playoffs and the Buddha was their
playoff good luck charm... It didn't bring any luck though.
greg(atl): Do these messages actually go anywhere? Nothing of
mine has popped up!! :-(
Moderator: (4:39 PM ET ) Greg say something strong brother
and I'll post it, I promise.
Back Alley Salley: The mod just wont post any of the Red Wing
picks.
Moderator: (4:40 PM ET ) This mod is as objective as they
come Salley. Make a case for your Wings and up it will go.
biggie03: I guarantee the moderator wont post this message
Moderator: (4:41 PM ET ) biggie, biggie, biggie, can't you
see, you posts have nothing to do with hockey ...
Eric (Philly): Who killed JR?
Moderator: (4:43 PM ET ) Anyone from Dallas in the room?
Tom(MI): What do I have to do to be a moderator for ESPN
chats. Must be a great job.
Moderator: (4:46 PM ET ) It's usually pretty great Tom ...
but right now it's not so hot. Sorry about this waiting. I'm really
trying to figure out what's going on with your man Jeremy. Thanks for
your patience, you guys are good sports. As soon as I have an answer on
his whereabouts -- you'll be the first to know.
Moderator: (4:48 PM ET ) We should mention our sincere
condolences to the Snyder family, Thrashers organization and fans alike
...
Chris (Wilmington, DE): Condolences to the Snyder family and
the Thrashers club...
Jason Harrisburg PA: and condolences to Dany Heatley, God
knows he is going through a great deal right now. They are all in my
prayers.
Moderator: (4:55 PM ET ) Hey folks, I have good news ...
Jeremy has arrived.
Jeremy
Roenick: (4:56 PM ET ) Give me you best shot!
Steven from Haddonfield, NJ: Whats your position on the the
reduced rolls of veterns on the Flyers this year?
Jeremy
Roenick: (4:57 PM ET ) My role is not that reduced ... so I'm
not sure that I believe in the reduced role theory ... It's a myth!
Voorhees, NJ: I am a huge hockey fan and an even bigger flyers
fan. With no big name goalie this year, how are you as a team going to
compensate for that this year? And how do you think you guys stack up
against the likes of the Avs or Wings?
Jeremy
Roenick: (4:58 PM ET ) I think our goaltending will get
stronger as the year goes on. Our team is strong enough to overcome any
deficiency that we may have.
Imposter (Flyersphans.com): Mega Daigles from Hoboken - You're
on two on one, who do you want passing the puck to you?
Jeremy
Roenick: (4:59 PM ET ) Tony Amonte ... even better would be
me passing it to him.
Jo, Phoenix: Do you have a preference for who completes your
line along with Tony Amonte?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:00 PM ET ) Gagne is in there with us now and he
is a a perfect match. ... Is this the Jo that I think it is?
Jo, Phoenix: Of course it is
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:01 PM ET ) Doesn't surprise me.
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:01 PM ET ) Get off the computer!
Frank(Flyersphans): How much do you think the fact that most
of the team has played under Hitchcock and his system for a year now
will help? Do you see a higher scoring output?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:02 PM ET ) I don't know about increased scoring
output, but I think it will make our team stronger defensively.
Chadds Ford, PA: Jeremy, Good luck this season! The Philly
papers are reporting that you and Hitch are at odds over your training
camp performance. Is this a real feud or just a minor skirmish?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:03 PM ET ) Thank you Chadds. ... nah, Hitch is
just trying to light a spark with players to get them ready for the
season ... he knows how I am and I know how he is. He is just trying to
light a fire.
Chubby (Dallas): What does your pre-game meal consist of?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:04 PM ET ) Chicken and rice!
Bob (Los Angeles): Hi Jeremy. As a big Kings fan, I'm a little
hesitant about Roman Chechmanek taking over as our No. 1 goalie. What do
you think he will give the Kings in the regular season, and more
importantly, the playoffs? Having seen what happened in Philly, I guess
I just need some reassurance that he can be THE man in a new
environment. Best of luck this season! Although I also bleed Leaf blue
(transplanted Torontonian), I've always been a big fan of yours! You
always speak your mind and tell it like it is. Keep it up! Thanks for
taking my question.
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:06 PM ET ) Thank you very much, Bob. Roman will
be great during the season and then he will want to go back to
Checkoslovakia once the regular season is over. But I can guarentee him
for 32 games.
Matt, NY: you're on a breakaway, who do you least want to see
in the net in front of you?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:07 PM ET ) Martin Brodeur
Slaski (Penn State): Yo JR! Huge Fan, just wondering if you
have any pregame rituals? (music, pads, etc.) Have a great season!
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:07 PM ET ) I love to listen to disco music before
a game to get my blood flowing!
Don Marion, IA: We (I) named our son Jeremy in 1995. You were
my favorite Blackhawk player back then. Can you (old men) get it done
this yr. How will it be to play with Amonte for a full yr? Thanks and
GOOD LUCK!!!
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:08 PM ET ) Yes, we old men have a little bit of
juice left in the tank. Tony and I are having a lot of fun playing
together.
Mike (NY): Who do you see as the "sleeper" in the eastern
conference?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:09 PM ET ) The Islanders.
Mark (Philly, PA): No matter when it is, you always seem to be
having fun and joking around (all star game, wearing a wig to look like
Clarke during pre-game skate) do most players and coaches like that? Is
Tony at all like that when the cameras are off?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:10 PM ET ) No Mark ... the coaches hate it ...
but I don't care. Tony isn't really like that at all.
FijiFlyer (Richmond, VA): Are all hopes of the All American
Line gone? What's up with Johnny LeClair?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:11 PM ET ) He just works better with grinders in
the corner more than speedy wingers. That's all there is to it.
Anthony San Diego, CA: You always played for teams I hate,
which forced me to hate you. Couldn't you just sign with the Redwings
and make my life a lot easier?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:12 PM ET ) I love Red Wings fan and I love
Hockeytown ... it's ok if you hate me ... that means I've done something
good.
Mctommm (Arlington, Va.): Yo JR! You're lookin' awful slim
this year compared to last. Mom says please eat more potatoes. But
seriously, have you given up "Hulking Out" for good?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:13 PM ET ) Yes, for good ... it's not good my
golf game.
kenny (cincinnati): even though you play for the hated flyers
(i'm a devils fan), i love listening to you when you've got a mic,
you've gotta be one of the most amusing sport stars i've ever seen. do
your teammates ever get on you for all the things you say and are there
any plans this year for you to be mic'd up again?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:14 PM ET ) I will always be mic'd up a couple
times a year. Thanks, I appreciate you listening to me ... even if the
stuff that comes out of my mouth is a bunch of crap. I really enjoy it.
Mark (Philly, PA): Which is more fun for you...........scoring
a goal, or laying a guy out?
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:14 PM ET ) Ummm .... it's a tie.
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:17 PM ET ) Thanks very much for coming on guys, I
really appreciate the support and all of your questions. I have to run
to catch a flight, sorry we got going late. I will definitely be doing
another one of these and hopefully I can get to a lot more of these
questions. Thanks again very much. Take care! We'll do it again soon.
Jeremy
Roenick: (5:23 PM ET ) p.s. Jo ... I said, get off the
computer!
Moderator: (5:25 PM ET ) Thanks again for bearing with us
through the long delay this afternoon. Just so you know, Jeremy received
over 1,500 questions so that may help in understanding why many of your
questions were not posted. We'll do it again folks! Take care!
